CANiK Exhibits VENOM LR Minimal Recoil Medium-Caliber Cannon

Samsun Yurt Savunma (SYS), which CANiK is a part of, exhibited its low-recoil medium-calibre cannon VENOM LR to the security forces.

A demo activity occurred at the Gölbaşı Campus of the General Directorate of Security Operations Directorate.
The event included the integration of Nurol Makina’s Ejder Yalçın 4x4 Armoured Combat Vehicle with AEI Systems’ 30x113 mm VENOM LR medium-calibre automatic cannon and UNIROBOTICS’ TRAKON 30  UKSS (Remote Control Weapon System /RCWS).
The VENOM LR is provided as a solution between 12.7mm heavy machine guns and larger-calibre autocannons, providing a balanced yet powerful option for arming a wide range of combat vehicles.

VENOM LR, which has significant potential in the future combat environment, can be integrated into all types of land, sea, and air platforms thanks to its lightweight, compact, and modular structure and damping system.
VENOM LR, the modern version of the ADEN air cannon that has been operating in the battlefields for over 50 years, provides its users with strategic and tactical superiority through its advanced technology.
VENOM LR offers a wide range of ammunition, from high destructive power ammunition to proximity fuse ammunition, armour-piercing ammunition, and incendiary ammunition, offering its users a wide range of capabilities. Thanks to these capabilities create a force multiplier for both military and security forces.
TRAKON 30 UKSS, developed by UNIROBOTICS, can be integrated into different platforms within hours thanks to its modular structure.
The system created by SYS Group also demonstrated export potential with the performance demonstrated by Nurol Makina with the Ejder Yalçın vehicle.
SYS, which also includes CANiK, acquired AEI Systems after it decided to invest in the United Kingdom. Nurol Makina took its work to a different dimension with the NUROL MAKINA UK company, which it established in the UK with a strategic decision. The two Turkish companies have increased their power even more by combining these operations in the UK in a joint project.
This demo showed that a high firepower of 30 mm can be used effectively in 4x4 land vehicles.

VENOM is also getting a C-UAS Mission

SYS Group: CANiK General Manager Utku Aral said, “We are happy to have the opportunity to showcase our low-recoil 30 mm cannon and remote-controlled fire control system, which we have been working on for a long time. In addition to the deliveries we made to friendly countries in 2024, we closed the year with the demo we made to the most important users of Turkiye. In January, we will also have an activity for 1,000 meters and angled shots. With this activity, we will have the opportunity to show our drone radar integration to both our country and the users of friendly countries. This system will undertake important tasks in protecting platforms and all kinds of our valuable assets.”
