Estonian MoD Shows New Arma 6x6 and NMS 4x4 Vehicles TurDef

Estonian Ministry of Defence shared the images of its delivered Otokar Arma 6x6 APC and Nurol Makina NMS 4x4 tactical wheeled vehicle in a post from its official X account.

Arma 6x6 in a new configuration is seen for the first time in the post. The differences include a new setting for the frontal section with the lighting grouping placed lower. This might be a new variant like the Rabdan IFV for the UAE.

Following the tender for new APCs, the Estonian Army ordered an Arma 6x6 in APC configuration, and the deliveries began at the end of 2024.

ARMA 6x6 is the light variant in the ARMA family of armoured vehicles. The vehicle has a gross weight of 23 tonnes and can be fitted with various armament, including RCWS, 20 mm autocannon, 90 mm turret, 25 mm turret, air defence missiles, and anti-tank missiles.

Estonia’s NMS 4x4 is also seen alongside Arma 6x6. NMS 4x4 was ordered in 2023 by Estonia. The contract covers 100 units.

The vehicle is the newest on Nurol’s line of 4x4 vehicles, standing out with its mobility and modularity. The modular armour packages can adjust the vehicle’s protection, and the V-shaped hull provides increased protection against IEDs. The vehicle can reach a maximum speed of 140 km/h. As for armament, various options are available, including machine guns, RCWS (7.62 mm to 30 mm), and MANPADS.
