A deal was signed between FNSS, Nurol, and Miilux OY during the WDS2026 exhibition for the supply of armour-grade steel for armoured vehicle projects.
Defence Turkey reported that the cooperation covers the supply of armour steel from Miilux OY for both domestic and export projects of FNSS and Nurol at WDS2026.
Miilux OY is not only manufacturing armour-grade steel for land platforms but is also set to contribute to the Turkish submarine building capabilities with submarine hull steels compliant with tensile strength needs against the high pressure deep below the surface.
PARS ALPHA in Fire Support Configuration Makes Debut Abroad
An interesting detail is the PARS ALPHA 8x8 AFV with a large-calibre turret never seen before, which marks the first time FNSS has physically presented its new generation armoured vehicle in fire support configuration. While FNSS has used the Belgian Cockerill 3105 105 mm turret for the KAPLAN MT medium tank, that does not mean later fire support vehicle/medium tank exports will go the same way, as customer preferences can vary.

8x8 vehicles with large-calibre guns such as 105 mm or 120 mm provide MBT-like firepower, while taking advantage of the higher mobility. These vehicles are usually positioned at a distance to lay down direct fire, which arrives more quickly and accurately compared to indirect fire, at the cost of range.
