FNSS to Display PARS ALPHA 6x6 with Cockerill’s 30 mm Turret TurDef

FNSS will display the PARS ALPHA 6x6 Fire Support & RECCE variant fitted with Cockerill’s 3030 30 mm manned turret in the FEINDEF’25 exhibition.

PARS ALPHA 6x6 will be displayed in a foreign exhibition for the first time in FEINDEF’25 to be held in Spain. A conceptual model of the Fire Support & RECCE variant will be displayed with Belgian Cockerill Defence’s Cockerill 3030 30 mm two-man turret.

The new variant will have a crew of six (Commander, gunner, driver, three dismounts) as a fire support/RECCE platform for cavalries meant to perform scouting and fighting with high mobility.

Cockerill 3030 Turret

3030 has been developed in manned and unmanned configurations for various armoured vehicles. Mainly armed with a 30x173 mm Mk44 chain gun, the turret can use a variety of ammunition, including the 30x173 mm Programmable Airburst Munition.

The secondary armament options include a 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun, pintle-mounted guns (7.62 mm to 40 mm grenade launcher), and anti-tank missiles.

The protection measures include smoke grenades, active protection system provision, and add-on armour with up to STANAG 4569 Level 5 (Protection Against 25x137 mm APDS rounds).

PARS ALPHA 6x6

PARS ALPHA 6x6 is the second variant of the PARS ALPHA armoured vehicle, the fifth iteration of the PARS line of armoured vehicles. Like PARS ALPHA 8x8, PARS ALPHA 6x6 holds the advantages of increased internal space, better slope traversing capability, reduced silhouette, and significantly longer range when compared to its PARS IV counterpart.

The vehicle has been ordered by the Turkish Land Forces within the scope of the New Generation Armoured Vehicle programme alongside the 8x8 variant.
