French Armament General Directorate (DGA) has ordered AT4 recoilless rifle systems. The acquisition agreement costs approximately 24 million Euros. Deliveries are planned for 2023. The agreement has inked in mid-December 2022.
Franca previously procured AT4CS ER (Extended Range), AT4CS HE (High Explosive) and AT4CS AST (Anti-Structure) weapons. Systems are also known as Roquette NG (Nouvelle Génération).
AT4 are lightweight and man-portable systems. The single-use recoilless rifle can be effective against armour, soft targets and structures thanks to their different warhead selection. AT4 weapons are selected by many countries.
