HAVELSAN will unveil the third iteration of its BARKAN Medium 1 class UGV as BARKAN 3 at the SAHA EXPO 2026 international defence exhibition next week.
BARKAN 3, as the new breath to HAVELSAN’s Medium 1 UGV platform, will be shown for the first time at SAHA EXPO 2026 to be held between May 5-9 at İstanbul Expo Centre.
HAVELSAN did not provide information regarding the changes in BARKAN 3 compared to the current iteration, BARKAN 2.
It is known that BARKAN 2 is larger and heavier than BARKAN 1 at 750 kg empty weight (Versus 400 kg), can operate for longer durations at five hours (Versus three hours), and carry double the payload (400 kg vs 200 kg).
HAVELSAN’s other UGV is KAPGAN in Medium 2 class, in 6x6 configuration. KAPGAN can carry heavier calibre weapons such as TRAKON 30 RCWS from Unirobotics armed with VENOM LR 30x113 mm revolver cannon.
