Malaysian armoured vehicle manufacturer MILDEF will show Tarantula 4x4 armoured vehicle with ASELSAN’s SARP 100/12.7 RCWS during the DSA2026 exhibition.
MILDEF’s Tarantula HMAV 4x4 fitted with ASELSAN’s SARP 100/12.7 RCWS was photographed at DSA2026 exhibition area by Marhalim Abas, the Author of Malaysian Defence.
Tarantula HMAV is a 4x4 tactical wheeled vehicle with a maximum weight of 16 tonnes and STANAG 4569 Level 2 ballistic and blast protection. The light armoured vehicle can reach a speed of 110 km/h and a range of 700 km.
SARP RCWS Family
SARP has been a long-standing product family of ASELSAN, first seeing widespread service with Turkish branches and eventually being exported to various countries around the world.
SARP 100/12.7 is the first in the SARP RCWS family, fitted with a 12.7 mm machine gun and fixed optics. Other variants of SARP 100 include SARP 100/12.7D with an extra 7.62 mm machine gun, SARP 100/12.7DM with ATGMs, SARP 100/14.5 fitted with KPVT machine gun, and SARP 100/7.62L lightweight variant.
ASELSAN has recently revised the SARP RCWS design with the new SARP 200 line, incorporating the SEDA 100 acoustic gunshot detection system and smoke grenades.
