Otokar General Manager Serdar Görgüç stated that Otokar military vehicles serve on five continents in very different regions and climatic conditions: “We reflect the experiences we have gained in Turkiye and various regions of the world to our vehicle development efforts. Thanks to our engineering power, design ability and superiority in technology, we make a difference with our military vehicles and the wide product range we develop and produce for current and future threats. Our military vehicles with different models and features, such as 4x4 and 8x8, are currently in service in different regions of Africa. Our integrated logistics support systems and delivery times are also extremely competitive internationally. In any case, we stand by our users even after the sale. The uninterrupted support we have provided in the challenging conditions of Africa in the past has always taken us one step ahead. We want to improve our existing relations during the AAD Fair and evaluate new regional cooperation opportunities. In this way, we aim to contribute more to our country’s exports.”

Emphasizing that the COBRA II vehicle especially attracted attention with its performance in the African continent, Görgüç said: “Our COBRA II vehicle, which is considered one of the world’s leading vehicles in its class, is a vehicle that has proven itself by being used in various operations in Africa. It has also demonstrated its effectiveness in asymmetrical combat conditions. Our vehicles are widely used in African Union and United Nations peacekeeping operations. Besides all this, COBRA II successfully serves more than ten end users worldwide. The satisfaction of our current users with the performance of our tool is also a reference for new users. All this makes us extremely proud. In addition to the COBRA II, we believe that many regional users will prefer our ARMA 6x6 and ARMA 8x8 vehicles in the coming years.”

COBRA II stands out with its protection, carrying capacity and large interior volume. In addition to its mobility, the COBRA II, which can carry ten personnel, including the commander and the driver, offers security thanks to its protection against ballistic, mine and IED threats. COBRA II is optionally produced in amphibious type and perfectly adapts to different tasks required. The armoured vehicle is especially preferred due to its weapon integration and mission hardware equipment options. It carries out many missions in Turkiye and export markets, including border protection, internal security and peacekeeping operations. COBRA II can also act as a personnel carrier, weapon platform, land surveillance radar, CBRN reconnaissance vehicle, command control vehicle and ambulance thanks to its modular structure.
