Otokar exhibits AKREP II 4x4, the URAL Special Operations Vehicle, COBRA II 4x4, and ARMA 6x6/8x8 armoured fighting vehicles in SAHA EXPO 2024.
Otokar's most important export products and the newer AKREP II have taken the stage at the SAHA EXPO 2024 defence and aerospace exhibition being held in Istanbul.
The COBRA II is a versatile armoured vehicle with manoeuvrability, ballistic and mine protection. It offers mobility in all types of terrain conditions, can be equipped with various weapon systems and equipment, and can adapt to different operational needs. With a capacity to carry up to nine personnel, the COBRA II is ready to perform various missions, including personnel transport, radar carriage, border security, anti-tank, and air defence. Regarding export, COBRA II is among Otokar's flagships, especially in the Middle East and Africa.
AKREP II is an armed reconnaissance vehicle tailored for mobility and modularity. So far, configurations with MIZRAK's 25 mm turret and Cockerill's 90 mm turret have been exhibited, but RCWS and laser weapons are also possible. In addition to diverse armament options, the vehicle can be fitted with one of the three engine options: diesel, hybrid, and fully electric.
ARMA 6x6/8x8 family is a rising player in the wheeled armoured fighting vehicles market, with export successes like the Rabdan derivative developed for UAE's needs, which is being produced in large numbers. Following the success in UAE, Estonia will make procurement for ARMA 6x6. ARMA can be fitted with the MIZRAK 30 mm turret as the main firepower, but payloads vary with configurations, as is the case with any other modern armoured fighting vehicle.
URAL SOV 4x4 has been developed with mobility and hull protection in mind for the needs of special operations personnel. To reduce weight significantly, most of the panel parts have been removed. The firepower comprises door-mounted machine guns and a top-mounted 12.7 mm heavy machine gun.
