Reminding Otokar’s long-standing presence in the region, Otokar General Manager Aykut Özüner said, “Since 2000, various types of Otokar Armoured vehicles have been successfully operated by the military and security forces of the Gulf Countries. To be physically closer to our users in the region and provide immediate support, we established our subsidiary “Otokar Land Systems” in 2016. This strategic move has further reinforced our commitment and presence in the Gulf region.”

Highlighting Otokar Land Systems has conducted important projects with successful results over the past years, Sedef Vehbi, Otokar Military Cluster Head, said, “In 2017, our joint venture company Al Jasoor signed the largest and most significant 8x8 tactical wheeled Armoured vehicle contract with the UAE, and we successfully completed all deliveries. Otokar stands out not only for our technological advancements but also for our expertise in technology transfer and local production. We remain open to further collaborations with new countries, particularly in the areas of technology transfer, local production, and the development of joint projects tailored to their specific needs. IDEX has always been a platform of strategic importance to Otokar. In this manner, during the event, we aim to strengthen our existing relations while exploring new opportunities.”

Otokar was deemed worthy by the Defence and Aerospace Industry Exporters’ Association of Türkiye of the award for being the company with the highest exports among Türkiye’s land systems manufacturers with its 2024 financial results.
