Otokar will deliver the first batch of the Cobra II 4x4 vehicles produced in Turkiye to Romania in the fourth quarter of 2025, following the large-scale order.
Following the large-scale order consisting of 1059 Cobra II 4x4 armoured vehicles in 10 configurations from Romania, Otokar’s production work is ongoing for the delivery of the first batch in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Otokar’s Deputy General Manager Sedef Vehbi stated to Anadolu Agency News that the largest land vehicle export contract will also cover the first production of the Cobra II vehicles abroad. The contract is estimated to cover $957 million.
Within the scope of the agreement, 278 vehicles will be manufactured in Turkiye with the rest to be in Romania, including the payload integration. Romanian Automecanica S.A. will form a JV with Otokar for Cobra II’s production.
Romania’s Large-Scale Cobra II Order
Romania’s order for Cobra II covers 1059 units in the following configurations: APC, APC with RCWS, 120 mm mortar carrier, 81 mm mortar carrier, anti-tank, ambulance, CRBN reconnaissance, and combat engineering vehicle.
Cobra II is available with different hull settings suited for said configurations outside the baseline one, such as extended wagon and pickup.
