Russia to Debut Lancet-E Loitering Munition in ADEX 2024

Russian state-owned export organisation Rosoboronexport will debut the new version of Lancet-E loitering munition in ADEX 2024, Azerbaijan.

The new version of Lancet loitering munition features folding wings for tube launch and a new seeker unit. The munition can engage armoured and unarmoured moving targets or fortified structures, suggesting a shaped charge warhead.

Russia has extensively used Lancet variants in the Russo-Ukrainian War, with engagements mostly being against armoured vehicles, air defence systems, and artillery units. Other variants of the Lancet include the baseline variant launched via catapult and the newer Izdeliye-51E/52E.

The Rubezh-ME coastal defence system, which carries four Kh-35 anti-ship missiles and a surface-searching radar, will also be displayed. The system mounted on an 8x8 truck can operate as part of a battery or on its own, thanks to the onboard radar.

The aircraft to be displayed are the Su-35 multirole fighter, Mi-17V5 utility helicopter, and Ka-52 attack helicopter.
