SİPER long-range air defence system's new missile SİPER Product 2 has been displayed in an exhibition for the first time in Euronaval 2024.
ROKETSAN put the upcoming missile's mock-up on display alongside that of the HİSAR-O missile to show the size difference clearly. This marks the first exhibition appearance and the first in a foreign expo.
Compared to the two-stage SİPER Product 1 with a range of 100+ km, SİPER Product 2 is a single-stage missile with a range of 150+ km with a significantly larger frame.
SİPER Product 1 measures at 5.4 m length and 235 mm diameter (Diameter excludes the booster) while SİPER Product 2 does at 6.2 m length and 420 mm diameter. However, the canisters have been designed to accept both missiles to ensure a rapid transition.
The larger diameter allows for a more powerful rocket engine and a more potent RF seeker. The seeker, designated AGRAS-400SA by ASELSAN, is expected to have a longer range and likely better performance against low-RCS targets.
The future SİPER missiles are planned as missiles with ballistic missile defence capabilities, new guidance features, and improved kinematic performance.
