The Secretariat of Defence Industries (SSB) awarded BMC the 35mm Turreted New Generation Vehicles Project on February 24, 2025. BMC will produce 29 8X8 Altuğ ACVs.
The contract specifies that the Turkish Land Forces Command would get 29 ALTUĞ 8x8 Armoured Combat Vehicles. BMC will also provide these vehicles’ Integrated Logistic Support (ILS).
Attended by Haluk Görgün, the Secretary of Defence Industries, and Fuat Tosyalı, the Chairman of BMC, a signing ceremony took place at the SSB on February 24 2025. The agreement confirms BMC’s part in the 35 mm Turreted New Generation Vehicles Project.
Under the contract, 29 ALTUĞ 8x8 Armoured Combat Vehicles will be provided together with integrated logistical support services to guarantee operational preparedness.
Declaring his happiness at entering the mass production stage under the direction of the SSB, BMC Chairman Fuat Tosyalı said ALTUĞ was developed in line with the recent operational experiences of the Turkish Armed Forces and is intended to provide exceptional capabilities in asymmetric warfare scenarios.
