Nurol Makina, which supplies Indonesia’s police with NMS 4x4 Light Armoured Vehicles, now aims to strengthen its presence by addressing military requirements.
Nurol Makina showcased its NMS 4x4 Light Armoured Vehicle at the Indo Defence Expo & Forum 2025 in Indonesia. The vehicle was already delivered to the Indonesian police force under a previous contract.
Speaking to Anadolu Agency, Nurol Makina’s Business Development Director Mehmet Çorbacıoğlu noted that the NMS 4x4 on display was currently in service with Mobile Brigade Corps (BRIMOB), the elite special operations and tactical unit responsible for counterterrorism, riot control, high-risk law enforcement, and tactical operations of the Indonesian police.

“The deliveries under the contract with BRIMOB were completed last year. Now, we are seeing increasing interest from the army as well. We’ve had discussions during the fair and will continue following up on them afterwards,” Çorbacıoğlu stated. “Following our contract with Malaysia, we also signed one with Indonesia. Nurol Makina’s presence in the region continues to grow.”
Under the existing agreement, approximately 80 NMS 4x4 vehicles are currently operating in Indonesia.
Modular Design, Versatile Mission Capabilities
Designed for both military and law enforcement use, the NMS 4x4 offers top-tier mobility and protection in its class. The vehicle may be set up in many ways to meet the needs of the end user, and it provides ballistic and mine/IED protection.
The NMS 4x4 can perform various missions since it has a modular design. It is suitable for combat operations, troop transport, and reconnaissance in high-intensity conflict environments.
The vehicle can reach 140 km/h and can be equipped with weapon systems such as 7.62mm and 12.7mm machine guns, 40mm grenade launchers, as well as anti-air and anti-tank solutions. It has eight tonnes payload capacity and can carry up to 11 personnel.
