Ukrainian UGV manufacturer Tencore has signed an MoU with Finnish firm Insta to produce the TerMIT UGV in Finland jointly, setting up a safer production line.
Ukraine, making use of UGVs for various roles, is jointly setting up a new production line away from the line of fire with the Finnish defence firm Insta for its TerMIT Medium 1 class UGV, which is developed by Tencore.
TerMIT, recently approved for field use as reported by The Kyiv Independent, is capable of performing three main missions: logistics, fire support, and minelaying.
In logistics configuration with a flatbed, TerMIT can transport supplies up to a range of 20 km or wounded personnel to a safer location. Tencore states that one TerMIT was used to transport more than 30 tons of cargo over the course of a month.
Fire support options include a 12.7 mm machine gun and a 40 mm automatic grenade launcher on a flexible RCWS.
Finally, the minelaying configuration can deploy anti-tank or anti-personnel mines.
