OTOKAR exhibited its COBRA II Ambulance at the Azerbaijan International Defence Industry Fair ADEX 2024, which opened its doors for the 5th time.
OTOKAR, which participated in defence industry fairs in Brazil, Indonesia, Roumania, Saudi Arabia, France, and South Africa this year and introduced its products and capabilities in the field of land systems, now takes its place at ADEX 2024. OTOKAR exhibited its COBRA II Ambulance, which is also in the inventory of the Azerbaijani Army.
OTOKAR Defence Industry Deputy General Manager Sedef Vehbi drew attention to the fact that OTOKAR, one of the land systems suppliers of NATO and the United Nations, provides service in different regions of the world, in many different missions, climates and terrain conditions, said; “More than 33,000 of our military vehicles are on duty in more than 40 countries on five continents. These vehicles provide high performance and safety in the most difficult conditions, from combat to peacekeeping services, and provide the support needed in the most critical missions.”
Sedef Vehbi, emphasising that OTOKAR has a long-standing cooperation with Azerbaijan, said, “Once again, we are proud to exhibit our vehicles and competencies in our brother country Azerbaijan at ADEX. The strong brotherhood and strategic cooperation between Turkey and Azerbaijan also manifest themselves in defence industry projects. OTOKAR has been responding to Azerbaijan’s defence needs since the 1990s and has reinforced this cooperation by exporting different military vehicles to Azerbaijan. The successful performance of OTOKAR armoured vehicles in the Azerbaijani Armed Forces inventory is a great source of pride for us. Our COBRA II Ambulance, which we exhibited at the fair today, is one of these vehicles. COBRA II, which responds to the different needs of users with its modular structure, is successfully serving more than 20 end users worldwide today. As OTOKAR, we are always ready to meet the needs of Azerbaijan with our wide product range.”
The COBRA II 4×4 tactical wheeled armoured vehicle, the ambulance version exhibited at ADEX, stands out with its protection, transportation level, and large interior volume. In addition to its mobility, COBRA II, which can carry ten personnel, including the commander and driver, offers security thanks to its protection against ballistic, mine and IED threats. COBRA II, which is especially preferred thanks to its wide range of weapon integration and mission equipment options, can serve as a personnel carrier, weapon platform, land surveillance radar, CBRN reconnaissance vehicle, command and control vehicle and ambulance thanks to its modular structure.
