EMO in Transition: Lessons Learnt from the Conflict Between Russia and Ukraine [Theme for 2025]
The ongoing conflict in Ukraine has resulted in the introduction of recently developed technology and systems into the battlefield. The rapid insertion of this capacity has substantial repercussions for EMO tactics, operations in the land, sea, air, and space domains, as well as for the requirements of new EW systems. During the conference, we will investigate the impact that these rapidly advancing technical advances have had on military strategic planning, the development of new equipment, the introduction of novel electromagnetic warfare capabilities, and electromagnetic operations in the field.
AOC Europe 2025 will investigate the use of drones in electromagnetic operations, the effects of disruptive technologies, the utilisation of modelling and simulation in system design, as well as the requirements for military testing and training. The ever-increasing reliance on the space domain will also be addressed in this regard.
In this discussion, we will concentrate on the requirements and capabilities of the area and NATO, as well as the lessons that may be learnt from the electromagnetic manoeuvres that are currently being used in the conflict in Ukraine.
