Why "Hemus 2024"

On the crossroad between the East and the West, the North and the South,  “HEMUS" , the biggest Bulgarian International Defence and Security Exhibition, with its over 29 years of growing experience traditionally offers  unique opportunities for matching the interests of the Governmental Institutions, National Armed Forces, Bulgarian Defence Industry, European and International companies, Scientific institutions and Academia. 

It proved to be a successful forum for expanding the opportunity for businesses in the defence sector, widening the business networking, strengthening the relations and contacts between business partners Governmental and Non-Governmental Organizations, presenting of innovative solutions products and services, sharing knowledge and experience. 

Bulgaria’s EU and NATO Membership widened the Exhibition’s scope and added attractiveness both for states EU and NATO Members as well as states outside those organizations.

Established in 1995, “HEMUS” was dedicated and focused on strengthening the National Security in the variety of its aspects: Defence (Army, Navy, Air Force, Joint Capabilities, Communications, Logistics chains etc.), Antiterrorism, Border Security, Interior Security, Cybersecurity, UAVs etc., as well as on enhancing the capabilities of the Bulgarian Defence Industry.

“HEMUS” is an event that brings the relevant decision-makers, representatives of National, European and International Institutions and Organizations, Companies from the defence sector and Academia together to enhance international strategic cooperation and dialogue.  

Our International Defence Products and Services Exhibition provides a platform for European and International companies to exhibit their innovations to an audience that includes key figures from the Security and Defense industry, Government and Military officials from the European and international community, and also opportunities to network with the relevant players. 

From the Bulgarian side main customers for the products and services exhibited are the Armed Forces, the Police Force and the National Security Services.
