With more than 2,000 journalists from the United States and around the world anticipated to cover the 2025 SHOT Show, there is a limit to the number of journalists who may be decently and fairly accommodated. Credentials may be issued to specialised media outlets that regularly cover the shooting, hunting, outdoor, and law enforcement industries until the limit is met. The NSSF Communications team reserves the right to impose a deadline for seeking and assigning media credentials at any moment.
Media registration for the 2025 SHOT Show will begin in the first week of October. We recommend that media that want to visit the SHOT Show apply for credentials as soon as possible to avoid missing the deadline. Make sure you read the application requirements and limits below. Media must pre-register for credentials; no media registration will be available on-site.
The NSSF Communications team will provide media credentials for the SHOT Show solely at their discretion, based on the following criteria: previous media credentialing at one or more recent SHOT Shows, or an invitation to receive 2025 credentials (both subject to re-qualification review). Proven track record of covering shooting, hunting, law enforcement, and associated activities in print, broadcast, cable, or online media. Because the SHOT Show is organised to assist the shooting, hunting, outdoor, and law enforcement industries, a track record of adequate impartiality, fairness, and balance in previous industry coverage will be considered.
Due to limited media support staffing, no general media or international media outlets other than those who routinely cover hunting, shooting, firearms, and firearms-related products will be credentialed for the SHOT Show.
