Slovenia Resistance Day, also known as 'Day of Uprising Against Occupation', commemorates the formation of the Slovenian Liberation Front in 1941. The 27th of April is usually this state holiday. During World War II, Nazi Germany seized Slovenia (then part of Yugoslavia) in part on April 6, 1941, while Italy and Hungary annexed the rest on April 11.
