Aviation and Manufacturing Industries Join Forces at the Eskişehir Industry Fair

Eskişehir Industry Fair promoted new business connections in the aviation and manufacturing industries. Tüyap organized the Fair with the contribution of the Governor’s Office of Eskişehir and the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality, in association with the Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce and supported by the Eskişehir Chamber of Industry. The Eskişehir Industry, R&D, Industrial Technologies Fair is started on June 9. It will be open until 12, 2021, at the Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce-TÜYAP Fair Centre.

The event is a platform for more than 103 brands, 205 companies and representatives from 22 countries. In addition, procurement delegations from Albania, Romania, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Bosnia Herzegovina and France are in the expo area in association with the Eskişehir Chambers of Industry and Commerce and Organized Industrial Zones.

The Fair brings together the main industries and R&D companies in the machinery, aviation and automotive sectors, subcontractors, suppliers, components manufacturers, business technologies, robotics technologies, and foreign procurement delegations. The event is also a B2B platform for major industry companies based in Turkey and suppliers of components and technologies.

Meetings with the Turkish Defence Industry Directorate and affiliated Foundation corporations such as the 1st Air Maintenance Plant Directorate, TUSAŞ Engine Industries (TEI), Turkish Railroad Network Car Industries (TÜRASAŞ), İŞBİR Electrics, Roketsan and ALP Aviation take place.

At the Fair, topics that shape future technologies, from UAVs to hydrogen fuel, are discussed in a series of conferences. Speaking at the Fair’s opening, President of Defence Industries Professor İsmail Demir said that they participated in the Fair with the companies within the Presidency because Eskişehir is a city of defence and aviation industry. Demir emphasized that Eskişehir Industry Fair will contribute to both the city and the industry sector.

Speaking at the opening of the Fair, Tüyap Anadolu Fairs General Manager İlhan Ersözlü stated that they would demonstrate the power of Eskişehir in national and domestic production at this Fair, which they organized for the first time. Ersözlü said, “Eskişehir, which has adopted the export-based industrialization model, is the centre of companies operating in the aviation and defence industry. For this reason, the main sectors of our fair were determined as companies producing products and services for the defence industry and the manufacturing industry.

Speaking at the ceremony, Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce President Metin Güler noted that the Fair would highlight Eskişehir’s advanced technology production power and experience. Furthermore, Güler noted that they expect the support of the Presidency of Defence Industries for the Fair, which will be held in 2022.
