Ukraine Introduces Home-Made Sirko-S1 UGVs

Ukrainian Azov Brigade introduces Ukrainian-Made Sirko-S1 Unmanned Ground Vehicles. The UGV were sent to the 6th Battalion. The interview first appeared on Telegram and was reported on the official Ukrainian defence website. The UGV is produced with the donations collected of UAH 11.7 million. It was developed by the Ukrainian company SkyLab UA, which specialises in developing and producing robotic systems and military UGVs. Sirko-S1 ground robotic platform can be used for flexible purposes such as cargo transportation, evacuation of wounded from the battlefield, and reconnaissance.

It can carry up to 200 kg of cargo at a distance of 2.5 km- making it convenient for delivering ammunition, provisions and medicines to the front line. The robot has a thermal imager, a laser rangefinder system and a camera to scout enemy positions. Sirko-S1 is also resistant to extreme operating conditions and has encrypted communication for control and video and electric drive for all four wheels with power regeneration modes. The development of Sirko-S1 UGV took a total of six months. The robot is now in serial production.
