Baykar May Receive Incentive Support

Baykar May Receive Incentive Support

Turkiye’s major UAV- UCAV exporter, Baykar, may receive incentive support. The decision amending the presidential decree number 1504, dated 4 September 2019, regarding the provision of project-based state aid for the investment in the unmanned aerial vehicles and smart systems production facility to be built in Istanbul entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette.
The phrase “investment location to be supported”, which was previously “Istanbul”, was changed to “Istanbul, Edirne, Tekirdağ provinces and Baykar Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ, İstanbul Özel Endüstri Bölgesi [Istanbul Private Industrial Zone] and additional areas”.
UAV and smart systems production facility investments to be made in these areas will also be included in the scope of project-based state incentives.
The UAV test and development centres in Edirne and Tekirdağ-Çorlu will operate within the scope of the industrial zone, in addition to the R&D centre in Istanbul,
