According to information published by the Indian government on July 29, 2022, the Indian Navy received its Indigenous Aircraft Carrier (IAC) Vikrant from her builder Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), Kochi. The delivery coincided with the celebrations to commemorate the 75th anniversary of India's independence, 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'.
