EREN high-speed loitering munition was tested against a UAV target after a surface one from the AKINCI UCAV, culminating in the first air-to-air kill for both.
EREN turbojet-powered loitering munition scored its first air-to-air kill during its test from AKINCI UCAV, against a target representing Shaheed/Geran type of kamikaze UAVs.
Footage from the test shows feed from EREN’s IIR seeker during the approach to the target UAV. EREN’s IIR seeker and high speed allow it to be used against both surface targets and some aircraft types.

The test also marks the first air-to-air kill for AKINCI UCAV, which was initially expected to use purpose-built air-to-air missiles for its first air-to-air tests.
Another important test regarding alternative C-UAS weaponry from ROKETSAN was the test with CİRİT laser-guided missiles from a new variant of PUSU pickup-mounted weapon system that incorporates EchoShield metamaterial-based radars. CİRİT hit a target UAV not so different from the one used in EREN’s test.
EREN High-Speed Multi-Purpose Loitering Munition
EREN was unveiled during IDEF2025 as a multi-role loitering munition with high speed thanks to the turbojet engine and missile-like layout. The turbojet engine allows for a range of 100+ km with an endurance of 15+ km, at an unspecified speed.
Thanks to its compactness despite the long range at 35 kg weight, EREN can be launched from UAVs, helicopters, pickups, containers, and naval platforms.
