TUSAŞ is participating in the FIA2026 exhibition with the HÜRJET advanced trainer, soon to enter service with the Turkish Air Force and the Spanish Air Force.
TUSAŞ has joined FIA2026 with the mockup of the HÜRJET advanced trainer tailored for fourth/fifth-generation fighters. HÜRJET was offered to the UK as a potential replacement for BAE Systems Hawk trainers in 2025.
Prior to joining the exhibition, HÜRJET has scored the export to Spain, marking the first export. The trainer, to be customised into SAETA II for Spanish service, will replace the F-5M trainers and involve cooperation between TUSAŞ and Airbus.
On the Turkish side, HÜRJET will replace the T-38 Talon advanced trainers as well as NF-5 aerobatics aircraft used by the Turkish Stars aerobatics team. In addition to its trainer use, HÜRJET was utilised as a testbed for the preliminary tests of the OKU MUM-T system of TUSAŞ for ANKA-III UCAV.
