In his overview for 2024, ASELSAN CEO Ahmet Akyol stated that the GERGEDAN 4-U communication electronic attack system and ANTIDOT 3-U EW pod were delivered.
GERGEDAN 4-U, integrated on a UAV platform in 2023, will be among the components of AKINCI UCAV’s SOJ HEDET (Communication Electronic Support/Attack) variant as a communication electronic attack system.
ANTIDOT 3-U is the communication/GNSS jamming variant of ANTIDOT 2-U. Borrowing the external layout from the ANTIDOT 2-U LB/MB/HB mini-EW pod, the new pod has a different set of antennas for its task.
ANTIDOT 3-U can be integrated into Bayraktar TB2, ANKA, AKSUNGUR, and AKINCI UAVs and UCAVs.
The pod can jam the data/control links of small-sized UAVs and GNSS signals. The underlining of capabilities against small UAVs is worthy of attention, which might hint at an intention to utilise C-UAS or self-protection against the recent kamikaze UAVs meant to shoot down other UAVs.
