SARP 100/35 (KORHAN) 35 mm IFV turret for the YNHZA armoured vehicle programme was spotted on a large flatbed platform at the Gölbaşı facility of ASELSAN.
SARP 100/35 on a flatbed was spotted near KORKUT 140/35 SPAAG during a visit by the Turkish Land Forces Commander-in-Chief General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu to ASELSAN’s Gölbaşı facility. It is not clear if the flatbed platform is a trailer or truck.
It is unknown if this configuration is meant for tests or for alternative deployment as a close-range defence system, thanks to the multi-role capabilities of SARP 100/35 with ATOM airburst ammunition compatibility.
SARP 100/35, formerly named KORHAN, was developed to be used onboard the IFVs to be procured under the New Generation Light Armoured Vehicles (YNZHA) programme.
The armoured SARP 100/35 turret incorporates a 35 mm autocannon with 100+200 (Ready+Reserve) rounds, with the readiness to use ATOM 35 ABM/IABM airburst rounds. ATOM 35 IABM was specifically developed for SARP 100/35 and other multi-role 35 mm weapon systems with increased pellet count for better performance against UAVs and personnel.
Other systems include coaxial machine gun (7.62 mm or 12.7 mm), RCWS, AKKOR APS with radars, scouting micro UAV, and various warning systems.
ASELSAN Develops KORKUT 100/35 SB as a Flexible Option
ASELSAN has recently shown a new mobile multi-role defence system, KORKUT 100/35 SB, based on a 6x6 truck, following the same principle as its KORKUT 25 SB family in terms of rapid deployment and multi-role use.
Using a single 35 mm autocannon with ATOM firing capability, KORKUT 100/35 incorporates its own detection suite with seperate EO/IR system and four KALKAN 050-G AESA radars.
In addition to hard-kill capabilities, KORKUT 100/35 SB also has an array of KANGAL C-UAS jammers to conserve ammunition against low-end UAV threats.
A notable feature of KORKUT 100/35 SB in terms of deployment is the fact that it is actually palletised, which allows the truck to deploy the system to a fixed location and go back if needed.
