AURA 200-G multi-purpose AESA radar, complementing the SERHAT DUAL (STR 400-G) mortar detection radar, can detect various low-flying threats.
The new radar is oriented towards detecting UAVs, low-flying aircraft, infantry, and ground vehicles with a secondary detection capability against ballistic targets (mortar shells, artillery rockets...).
Thus, where SERHAT DUAL is focused on artillery/mortar shells and rockets with a secondary capability against small UAVs, AURA 200-G can be considered a gap filler oriented against other low-altitude threats.
The radar can be used on a tripod or mounted on 4x4 vehicles. The tripod configuration consists of a single radar module, while the vehicle-mounted configuration has four to provide constant hemispherical coverage.
The AURA 200-G is designed to work in conjunction with electro-optical systems and jammers as a part of the low-altitude layer of the Steel Dome integrated air defence systems.
The radar is also used on the KORKUT 25 C-UAS system for 4x4 vehicles, coupled with a variant of NEFER-L 25 mm RCWS configured to fire 25 mm ATOM airburst ammunition.
Another AESA radar with a similar configuration, CENK 100-N, is also being developed for warships to detect UAVs and other low-altitude threats with low power consumption.
