FNSS announced the delivery of PARS 8x8 SCOUT (İZCİ) vehicles in CRBN Recce configuration to the Turkish Army following the completion of acceptance tests.
The Turkish Army has taken its new PARS 8x8 SCOUT armed Chemical-Radiological-Biological-Nuclear (CRBN) Recce vehicles into the inventory from FNSS.
CRBN Recce vehicles are the mobile leg of the CRBN defence capabilities, with their onboard sensors to detect threats and additional protection against them for the crew. In addition to this, PARS 8x8 SCOUTs delivered to the Turkish Army also have self-defence capabilities with a 12.7 mm RCWS.
PARS 8x8 SCOUT also forms the basis for ROKETSAN’s GÜRZ gun/missile air defence system, coupling a 20 mm or 30x113 mm cannon with SUNGUR short-range air defence missiles and AESA radars.
PARS SCOUT 8x8
PARS SCOUT 8x8, as a member of the PARS wheeled AFV line, is designed to be used both in low and high-intensity scenarios. The vehicle reaches a maximum road speed of up to 100 km/h and can manoeuvre on 60 per cent vertical and a 30 per cent side slope, climbing 0.7 meters high obstacles.
The protection consists of modular armour, ballistic glass for the driver with a 230-degrees view, run-flat tyres, and a self-recovery winch.
