HAVELSAN’s Warning/Command and Control System KARTAL and its components have successfully passed the Assurance Verification and Validation tests. KARTAL has been developed to use Turkish Air Forces to increase situational awareness with data from military and civilian organisations’ information platforms like radars, satellites, meteorological platforms, and electronic support systems.
The system is a command and control software that includes real-time defined air picture generation, surveillance, weapon control and some simulation functions in the Control Warning Centers of the Air Forces Command. Also, HAVELSAN supported the Air Force Information System certification, HvBS, which shares information on tactical to strategic scales.
HvBS can be integrated with NATO-standard systems like JREAP and Link 16. HAVELSAN is a major player in command & control systems and combat management systems in the Turkish defence industry. Some of the other notable products in this category are ADVENT and MÜREN for naval platforms. The firm is also working on integrating its unmanned systems like SANCAR USV, BAKRAN UGV, and BAHA UAV through the Digital Troops project.
