Indonesia Acquires Roketsan’s ATMACA

Indonesian Defence Ministry stated their plan to cooperate with Turkish defence company Roketsan to acquire ATMACA anti-ship missiles. Indonesian defence ministry made a statement on social media to confirm Jane’s most recent publication about the ATMACA acquisition. The ministry shared Roketsan’s most recent Atmaca Video, which shows Kale Arge’s indigenous KTJ-3200 turbojet engine in use. The ministry stated that they are interested in Atmaca’s anti-ship missile and that Roketsan will collaborate with Indonesia. The ministry explained the content of the video by stating that the video shows the shooting of a land-based Atmaca missile as a coastal defence system. The ministry underlined that Atmaca successfully destroyed targets at sea. Having a high warhead of 220 kg, the Atmaca missile has a more than 200 km range.
