Ar-Namis LLP, responsible for supplying personnel-level equipment to Kazakh military and law enforcement, listed the KNG-C5 carbine among its portfolio.
Following its acquirement by Indonesia, Kalekalıp’s highly compact KNG-C5 carbine might have been adopted by Kazakhstan in CQB configuration, which has an 11-inch barrel and suppressor, longer than the baseline configuration (7.5-inch barrel length) alternatively designated as a PDW. KNG-C5 CQB is not listed on Kalekalıp’s official website.
KNG-C5 uses 5.56x45 mm NATO ammunition with STANAG magazines in use, with the majority of firearms chambered in the said ammunition. It differs from the KCR-556 line with the folding-collapsible stock, allowing for easy carriage in confined spaces like indoor environments or armoured vehicles.
The gun has an adjustable gas system for optimum performance with suppressors and a fire rate between 750 and 950 RPM.
According to a previous report from Anadolu Agency News, KNG-C5 debuted in INDO Defence 2022 and was acquired by Indonesia.
Ar-Namis LLP also lists the KCR-739 carbine chambered in 7.62x39 mm ammunition and the KMG-556 belt-fed light machine gun chambered in 5.56x45 mm in its portfolio.
