ASELSAN stated that KORKUT 141/35 SPAAG mounted on Calidus 8x8 Wahash armoured vehicle performed its firing tests alongside the command/radar vehicles in 2024.

KORKUT 141/35 was first seen on Calidus’ Wahash 8x8 armoured vehicle during the IDEX 2025 exhibition held in the UAE. ASELSAN disclosed in its 2024 activity report that KORKUT 141/35’s (Designation for being mounted on Wahash 8x8) integration work was completed and the firing trials started. The image shared by ASELSAN also includes a Wahash 8x8 with the equipment for KORKUT KKA command/radar vehicle carrying the KALKAN 200-G searching radar and an EO/IR system.
This means that the UAE’s interest in KORKUT 35 mm SPAAG is on a higher level than previously thought, considering how the tests were performed in a battery formation instead of a single unit.
KORKUT 35 mm Air Defence System Family’s Progress
So far, KORKUT has proven itself in the Turkish Army’s counter-terrorism operations, where it shot down multiple UAVs operated by the PKK using the ATOM 35 airburst ammunition with short bursts from the twin 35 mm revolver cannons.
Initially mounted on the tracked ACV-30 of FNSS as KORKUT 150/35; ASELSAN later integrated KORKUT on Otokar’s ARMA 8x8 vehicle and more recently, Wahash 8x8 of Calidus under the series designation of KORKUT 140/35.
ASELSAN has also performed the firing tests of the C-RAM variant, KORKUT C-RAM/35, using a customised version of ATOM 35 ammunition against mortar targets in 2024, according to the same activity report and statements from the CEO, Ahmet Akyol. During IDEF’23, KORKUT C-RAM/35 was presented as a fixed system using the STR 400-G radar for searching/tracking instead of KALKAN 200-G, as the former is better suited for use in C-RAM.
