Rheinmetall Integrates Skyranger 35 on KF41 Lynx AFV TurDef

Rheinmetall has unveiled the Lynx Skyranger 35, which brings the Skyranger 35 air defence system on KF41 Lynx's tracked chassis to be unveiled at DSEI UK 2025.
Following the integrations on Boxer 8x8 AFV and Leopard 2 MBT, and Leopard 1 MBT chassis, Rheinmetall has unveiled Skyranger 35 on the new generation KF41 Lynx tracked AFV. The new configuration will be displayed during DSEI UK 2025 defence exhibition to be held next week.
In 2024, an agreement was signed to develop a KF41 Lynx-based configuration of Skyranger 35 for Hungary, which is the first export customer and production partner of Germany’s tracked AFV.
Skyranger 35’s new iteration includes a revamp of the sensor suite with the new AMMR 2.0 S-band AESA radar. Still, despite the new turret design, Skyranger 35 using the Oerlikon KDA 35 mm revolver cannon with a fire rate of 1000 RPM does not have a provision for MANPADS missile launchers. Mainly, the system uses the AHEAD 35 airburst ammunition holding 152 pellets which scatter in a conical manner after each round is programmed automatically to detonate at a certain time.
