Kuzgun Tech displayed its multi-mode fuse for 30x113 mm ammunition, which has gained considerable attraction over the past few years throughout land forces.
Kuzgun Tech, with experience on fuses for various munitions, unveiled its work on a multi-mode fuse for 30x113 mm ammunition used by VENOM LR revolver cannon and M230/M230LF chain gun, both of which have gained significant attention, especially in the field of C-UAS.
At SAHA EXPO 2026, Kuzgun Tech General Manager Oğuzhan Ayısıt stated in his interview with Kaner Kurt that the project started as a self-funded one and will be delivered to an ammunition manufacturer for qualification and application in the field.
The multi-mode fuse includes the proximity fuse mode, which is the key to employing 30x113 mm weaponry in C-UAS missions effectively. Compared to a pellet type programmed airburst ammunition that is pre-set to scatter at a given time, a proximity-fused ammunition mainly has the advantage of not requiring the installation of muzzle devices as the ammunition itself detects the nearby target using onboard radar fuse.
Establishing local capabilities for such a rare but promising ammunition type is important for Türkiye, considering the fact that there is a good possibility of it employing the VENOM LR 30x113 mm revolver currently produced by SYS Group’s subsidiary AEI Systems with C-UAS as the focus.
