SAHA EXPO 2026: ROKETSAN Unveils CİDA Tactical Missile TurDef

ROKETSAN has unveiled the CİDA as its new tactical missile, with a range considerably above both UMTAS and UMTAS GM, intended for existing launch platforms.

CİDA, unveiled at SAHA EXPO 2026, is set to be ROKETSAN’s spearhead in the tactical-level missile line with a range beyond the reach of common ATGMs and short-range air defence systems.

CİDA, measuring two meters in length and weighing 65 kg, has a range of 35+ km when launched from the surface and 55+ km when launched from helicopters.

CİDA’s range when launched from a helicopter exceeds even most medium-range air defence systems and is also longer than most, if not all, extended-range ATGMs against the launch platform when launched from land.

The missile has three guidance options: TV+IIR seeker, IIR seeker, and laser seeker, with the first two featuring RF datalink for MITL use.

TurDef has learned that CİDA will be available in twin canister launchers for the KMC-U weapon system (Used on KAPLAN STA) and attack helicopters; the firing tests are ongoing from the latter.

It is understood that CİDA is the finalised and optimised iteration of the previously shown UMTAS GM Block 2 project with similar goals of overmatch range and advanced guidance, as well as a podded launcher.
