ASELSAN, ROKETSAN, STM, and TÜBİTAK have joined NATO’s five new large-scale multi-national programmes during the 2026 NATO Summit being held in Ankara.
Turkish Secretary of Defence Industries Haluk Görgün announced that ASELSAN, ROKETSAN, STM, and TÜBİTAK will be among the participants in NATO’s five new large-scale programmes as:
-Strike Capabilities
-Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD)
-Space and Surveillance
-Critical Materials for Defence Industry
-Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Superiority
NATO shared images from the signing ceremonies with the panel, including information regarding programme value and participants.
Strike Capabilities
Strike Capabilities programme will include Germany’s Diehl and Türkiye’s ROKETSAN as the companies understood to be the main providers. The countries in the programme are listed as Türkiye, Canada, Czechia, Denmark, France, Greece, Italy, Norway, Slovakia, Sweden, and the UK.
Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD)
IAMD programme, which can be considered enormous with a budget of $26.27 billion, will commission ASELSAN, Raytheon, ROKETSAN, Anduril UK, Rheinmetall, Palantir, and Athea.
The participating countries are Türkiye, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Greece, and Romania.
Space and Surveillance
Space and Surveillance programme, worth around $4 billion, has commissioned ASELSAN, Isar Aerospace, MLS, ROKETSAN, and TÜBİTAK.
Türkiye, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden are the participants.
