Two major fighter aircraft companies of Russia, Sukhoi and MiG, have finally merged under the auspices of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), part of Rostec. TASS reported this. This process has been approved by the decision of the board of directors back at the end of 2016.
Russia’s Checkmate aircraft delays at least one year, according to Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov. Rostec produces stealth Su-57 and Checkmate.
Russia plans to merge two aerospace companies for producing fighter planes. The decision will be discussed in January. United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) announced that the holding’s board approved the merger between Sukhoi and MiG of directors on November 30th.
