The Netherlands ratified its contract with the French manufacturer Airbus Helicopters for delivering 14 Caracal helicopters on Sunday, October 1, in the Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union. De Telegraaf reports that the contract amount is between 1 and 2.5 billion euros.
These new H225M Caracals will replace the 12 AS532 Cougars, in service with the Royal Netherlands Air Force since 1996, for transport and combat search and rescue missions.
