Otokar CEO İbrahim Aykut Özüner stated that the deliveries of ARMA 6x6 armoured personnel carriers have begun and will continue in 2025 for the Estonian Army.
Özüner stated that the deliveries for Estonia’s ARMA 6x6 vehicles is going according to the schedule in an interview with the Anadolu Ajansı. According to the €130 million contract signed in 2023, the delivery was scheduled to start in the second half of 2024 and be completed in 2025.
ARMA 6x6 is the light variant in the ARMA family of armoured vehicles, including ARMA 8x8 and amphibious Rabdan IFV (for the UAE). The vehicle has a gross weight of 23 tonnes and can be fitted with various armament, including RCWS, 20 mm autocannon, 90 mm turret, 25 mm turret, air defence missiles, and anti-tank missiles. Additionally, ARMA 6x6 is the secondary platform option for ASELSAN’S PUHU-3LT electronic support system.
Another milestone of Otokar in Europe is the establishment of a new factory in Romania, with which the firm signed a deal with 1059 Cobra II 4x4 tactical wheeled armoured vehicles. The factory will be the first of the firm in Europe.
