ASELSAN opened its Santiago Office in Latin America as part of its global growth strategy. Deputy Defence Minister Şuay Alpay and ASELSAN General Manager Ahmet Akyol attended the opening ceremony of “ASELSAN Latin America.” Welcoming the guests at the ceremony, ASELSAN General Manager Akyol stated that very important projects have been undertaken in Chile and said: “Following the trust we earned with the value we added to Chile in tank modernization. Now, we want to expand our cooperation for greater breakthroughs. For this reason, while we are exhibiting our products at the FIDAE Fair, which brings together important players in Chile, thousands of kilometres away from our country, we are also opening our Santiago Office. FIDAE Fair has become an important platform for us to interact with users in the Latin American region and hold new cooperation negotiations. Opening our first local office in Santiago, a Latin American continent, represents a strategic move to strengthen ASELSAN’s regional presence. Our local subsidiary, ASELSAN Latin America, will strengthen our access to our business partners by ensuring our physical presence in the region. Our presence at the local level also reveals ASELSAN’s determination to meet the defence needs of the region. Santiago serves as a hub for our activities in Latin America. Our Santiago Office means that we have crossed an important threshold in terms of ASELSAN’s expansion of its presence in Latin America and the evaluation of opportunities in the defence sector in the region. I wholeheartedly believe that this strategic move will positively affect our activities and contribute to our long-term growth and success in the Latin American continent.
Along with the office, ASELSAN attends the International Aviation and Space Fair FIDAE 2024, held in Santiago, the capital of Chile, between 9-14 April. ASELSAN is showcasing its systems, from military communication solutions to avionic systems. It exhibits technologies developed from radar and electronic warfare products to border security solutions. ASELSAN displays Helmet Integrated Control System AVCI, UAV Payload Systems, ASELFLIR-500 Electro-Optical Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Targeting System, TOLUN Ammunition, YAMGÖZ Close Range Surveillance System, Military Radios and PULAT Active Protection System to global users.
