ASELSAN announced the contract worth €1.65 billion ($1.93 billion) with the Turkish Secretariat of Defence Industries (SSB) for air defence systems on KAP.
The large-scale deal was announced on Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) not long after the foundation laying ceremony for the Oğulbey Technology Base to play a critical part in the Steel Dome IADS and the delivery of 47 Steel Dome systems, like SİPER and HİSAR.
According to the statement on KAP, the deliveries will be made between the years 2027 and 2031. The agreement likely covers multiple types of air defence assets for the Steel Dome, considering the timeframe and contract value.
