ASELSAN shared a test video of the SARP 200/12.7D dual-weapon RCWS with UAV tracking capabilities using ATOM 40 airburst rounds to shoot down a small UAV.
The video from ASELSAN shows SARP’s next-generation variant with a 12.7 mm heavy machine gun and a 40 mm automatic grenade launcher fitted with a programming kit for ATOM 40 ABM airburst rounds. The latter is seen successfully shooting down an UAV with the programmed airburst.
SARP 200/12.7D is a new member of the SARP RCWS line, combining features from previous variants like SARP ZAFER and SARP DUAL while adding target tracking algorithms against UAVs.

The primary weapon options include a 12.7 mm heavy machine gun and a 40 mm automatic grenade launcher. The latter can be fitted with a kit to fire ATOM 40 ABM airburst rounds, allowing the engagement of UAVs and personnel behind cover. While ATOM 40 ABM is the optimal option against UAVs, ASELSAN also demonstrated its targeting algorithms with the 12.7 mm machine gun previously.
Like legacy SARP DUAL, A coaxial 7.62 mm machine gun is mounted to assist as a backup weapon or gap filler (Especially if a 40 mm grenade launcher is mounted). SARP 200/12.7D can be reloaded from the vehicle cabin or from the top, like the older SARP ZAFER RCWS.
In addition to these features, SARP 200/12.7D can be fitted with extra sensors to work alongside the coaxial optics, such as a gunshot detection system.
