Brazilian Army has published an RFP for the acquirement of three armed tactical UAVs, citing up to four munitions as armament and ITAR-free requirements.
According to Pucara Defense, RFP states technical requirements are 700 kg MTOW, a 300 km control range, two missiles/four guided rocket weapons load, and a flight ceiling of 18000 ft.
No response to the RFP has been announced so far. There are various platforms with such provisions, like the Bayraktar TB2 armed UAV with an endurance of 27 hours the capability to carry various guided munitions (MAM-L, MAM-C, KEMANKEŞ 1, BOZOK, KAYI-30...), and an MTOW matching the RFP.
Turkish defence products have seemingly made an entry into Brazil’s recent acquisition programmes with the reported participation of Otokar’s TULPAR tracked IFV in the new armoured vehicle acquirement programme, according to Brazilian defence media.
