IRYDA+ X1 kamikaze UAV, jointly developed by the Polish MBF Group and Turkish Shark Aviation, passed its dive test with a deviation of about one metre.
Poland-based MBF Group and Türkiye-based Shark Aviation demonstrated the IRYDA+ X1’s attack capabilities with a live warhead and high-precision diving mode.
During the test, IRYDA+ X1 dove on the target, deviating by only about a metre. The warhead of the kamikaze UAV was proven to be effective within 30 m when detonated five metres above ground.
The hand-launched kamikaze UAV’s important feature will be its swarm capability, allowing one operator to control and coordinate a pack of IRYDA+ X1s from the panel.
The UAV is planned to make its official premiere in Türkiye in the first half of July, which is not very far from the upcoming NATO Summit to be held in Ankara. Later on, a swarm demonstration with eight kamikaze UAVs will take place in Warsaw.
IRYDA+ X1 has an endurance of 60 minutes, a range of 20+ km, and a low stall speed of 30 km/h. The fragmentation warhead carried by the hand-launched kamikaze UAV weighs 300 g.
