French Mirage 2000 Fighters to Ukraine Set for 2025

French Minister of Defence has announced that Mirage 2000 multirole fighters will be delivered to Ukraine in the first quarter of 2025.
As France is replacing its Mirage 2000 fighters with the newer Rafale F4/F5, some of the aircraft to be retired will be provided to Ukraine.
This marks the second confirmed Western-made fighter jet aid to the country in war with Russia following the latter's invasion. F-16 AM/BM fighters with modifications like pylon/self-protection systems were delivered earlier this year.

Mirage 2000 is a single-engined delta-wing fighter with multirole capabilities like the delivered F-16. The fighter may be able to use AASM-guided bombs/rocket-assisted munitions and SCALP EG cruise, both of which have been integrated into Ukraine's ex-USSR aircraft and are in active use (Su-24, MiG-29...).
Other than Mirage 2000 and F-16, Ukraine might receive Swedish Gripen fighters in the future, as there has been an expression of interest from the Ukrainian side and approval from the Swedish one.
It is certain that Ukraine will remodel its armed forces with NATO-standard equipment following its break-off from the USSR and the war with Russia. Thus, Ukraine also displays the same inclination for its Army (Western-supplied vehicles and firearms) and Navy (MİLGEM corvettes).
