KARGU FPV Hits 4x4 Armoured Vehicle with Shaped Charge TurDef

STM’s modular KARGU FPV kamikaze UAV was tested with the shaped charge warhead and fibre-optic cable for the first time against a 4x4 light armoured vehicle.

KARGU FPV was previously tested with an anti-personnel warhead with steel balls, identical to the one on KARGU. This time, STM’s FPV UAV was demonstrated with a shaped charge and a fibre-optic cable against a lightly armoured target.

The target vehicle was hit from the front aspect, which is generally the toughest section in armoured vehicles.

KARGU FPV

KARGU FPV is fitted with some additional features taken from the KARGU UAV, which include data-link with jamming resistance, automatic target recognition, autonomous dive mode, and an adjustable fuse for the 1.3 kg warhead.

The FPV kamikaze UAV can reach a range of 10 km with an operational ceiling of 5500 m. The endurance is 20+ minutes for use as a kamikaze UAV, while this extends to 44 minutes for the observation role by removing the warhead assembly.

In addition to deployment by personnel, KARGU FPV can be deployed using carrier UAVs.
