ROKETSAN shared a video for SAHA EXPO 2026, showing a new missile that is stated to be intended for use against asymmetric threats and low-altitude targets.
ROKETSAN’s second known product to be unveiled at SAHA EXPO 2026, after the bladed MAM-L variant, is a new missile developed with new asymmetric threats and low altitude targets in mind.
The video shared by ROKETSAN for teasing the unveiling does not show the entirety of the missile, but the nose and midsection. An optical seeker and pop-up fins are clearly visible in the video. ROKETSAN described the missile as being “designed to address modern asymmetric threats and low-altitude aerial targets”.
A New CİRİT Variant with Fire and Forget?
CİRİT, in terms of the mission profile, has started fitting into this description after being demonstrated against a representative kamikaze UAV. The nose on the new missile appears to be identical to that of CİRİT, so it is possible that ROKETSAN is developing a new variant.
Thus, one possibility is that this missile could be a CİRİT with a TV seeker, which is a balance between laser seekers and IIR seekers in terms of cost, while having automatic target acquisition capabilities for fire-and-forget use not posessed by laser-guided munitions.
Compact Multi-Role Missile?
Another possibility is that ROKETSAN has developed a highly compact missile, hence the emphasis on use against asymmetric threats and "low altitude targets". METE mini missile might be a point of reference for a missile like Estonian Frankenburg Technologies’ Mark 1 C-UAS missile, which uses a TV seeker with AI-assisted target acquisition and is rated at two kilograms of weight.
ROKETSAN is known to have inclined towards compact and multi-role munitions since 2025, with the unveiling of EREN turbojet-powered loitering munition and the addition of C-UAS capabilities to CİRİT laser-guided missile. Thus, another multi-role missile that is smaller than both to cover a shorter range is something to not be ruled out.
